This Privacy Policy explains how Haiti Legacy Collection (“Haiti Legacy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our website, buy our products, sign up for our emails, or contact us. It also explains how advertising works on our site and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

Haiti Legacy Collection is a subsidiary of Virgile Consulting, LLC, a limited liability company based in the State of Utah, United States. Virgile Consulting, LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us.

  • Order details: your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing addresses, and the items you buy, including any name or number you ask us to add to a jersey.
  • Account details, if you create an account.
  • Messages you send us, reviews, and anything you submit through a contact or community form.
  • Your email address, if you subscribe to our newsletter.

Information collected automatically. When you use the site, we, our service providers, and our advertising partners may collect your IP address, device and browser type, cookie and device identifiers, pages viewed, referring pages, the ads you see and interact with, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see sections 5 and 6).

Information from others. Payment processors and shipping carriers may give us order status, fraud-screening results, and delivery information. Google may give us aggregated reports about ad performance on our site. These reports do not identify you.

3. How we use information

  • To process and deliver your orders, send order updates, and handle returns and support requests.
  • To operate, secure, and improve our website, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To show advertising on our site, which helps support our business (see section 6).
  • To send you marketing emails, if you have signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules.
  • To enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Payments

Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. We do not store your full card number on our servers. Your payment details are subject to the processor’s own privacy policy.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, local storage, and device identifiers) for these purposes:

  • Necessary cookies keep the site working, for example by keeping items in your cart and keeping you signed in.
  • Preference and analytics cookies remember your settings and help us understand how the site is used.
  • Advertising cookies are set by Google and its partners to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, and, where allowed, personalize ads (see section 6).

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block them, parts of the site, including the cart and checkout, may not work.

Our site also loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those fonts, Google may receive your IP address and browser information.

6. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We show ads on our site through Google AdSense, a service provided by Google LLC. Ads help support Haiti Legacy Collection.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • Google and its partners may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser information, cookie identifiers, the pages you view on our site, and your interactions with ads.
  • Other certified ad vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on our site through Google and may use their own cookies.

Your advertising choices.

  • You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings. If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
  • You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices. Visitors in Europe can also use www.youronlinechoices.eu.
  • If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalized ads and advertising cookies are used, through a consent message on our site. You can change your choice at any time using the privacy or cookie settings link on our site.

To learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and Google’s Privacy Policy.

7. How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to run our business:

  • Service providers that host our website, process payments, print and fulfill orders, ship packages, send email, and provide analytics and security. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Advertising partners, such as Google, which collect information through cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads, as described in section 6. Google uses this information under its own privacy policy.
  • Virgile Consulting, LLC and its affiliates, which operate and support Haiti Legacy Collection.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, us, or others.
  • Business changes. If we are involved in a merger, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, allowing Google and its partners to collect information through advertising cookies on our site may be considered “targeted advertising,” “sharing,” or a “sale” under some U.S. state privacy laws. You can opt out as described in sections 6 and 10.

8. How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as needed to provide our services, meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Advertising cookies are kept for the period set by Google and its partners; you can delete them at any time in your browser settings.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No website or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights:

  • Utah, California, and other U.S. states. State privacy laws, such as the Utah Consumer Privacy Act and the California Consumer Privacy Act, may give you rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of your personal information, where those laws apply to us. To opt out of personalized ads, use the choices in section 6 or contact us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
  • European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland. If the GDPR, UK GDPR, or Swiss data protection law applies, you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, to withdraw your consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We rely on these legal bases: performing a contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing our business, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent for marketing emails, personalized advertising, and non-essential cookies.

To make a request, contact us using the details in section 14. We may need to verify your identity first.

11. Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them or show them personalized ads. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International visitors

We are based in the United States and serve customers worldwide, including in Haiti. If you use the site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your own.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we will give additional notice where required.
